How We Diagnose
A proper air conditioning diagnosis involves much more than simply checking if the system is low on gas. We confirm the issue by operating the system and checking the temperature from the vents, Cooling performance at idle & driving speeds, any unusual noises, any intermittent operation or unpleasant odours.
Next we look for any visual faults. Refrigerant oil leaks, Damaged hoses or pipes, Condenser damage, Loose connections or signs of previous repairs.
We use specialised manifold gauges to measure the Low-side pressure & High-side pressure.
Once our technician sees those numbers, he needs to identify the faults by what the readings tell him.
If he suspects a leak, he will use equipment that detects where the leak is coming from.
The usual suspects are Compressor seals, Condenser, Evaporator, Hoses & fitting & Service ports.
If no leaks are detected then thats when the real investigation happens!
